What sport requires more jumping than any other sport?? Volleyball, and more specifically beach volleyball.? It’s no wonder that the best jumpers are beach volleyball players.? If you have ever jumped out of deep sand you will realize that it takes a lot of effort to even get a foot out of it.? So when you see sand volleyball players getting there armpits above an 8 foot high net you come to see how good of jumpers they are.?
How can you learn to jump like the best jumpers in the world?? By being disciplined and doing plyometric workouts like they do.? Plyos are exercises designed to teach your body how to jump higher.? This is done through combining jump training with strength training.? Either program alone will not produce the same results as a combination of the two.? You must teach your muscles both strength and speed to produce power.? The equation is very simple, you can’t leave out one part or it will not work.
Why should follow a beach volleyball workout program?? Think about how much they jump compared to any other sport.? For every single point that is scored 3 out of the 4 people will most likely jump and in some cases all 4 players will jump.? This ends up being a lot jumping for each individual player.? Taking into consideration that they are getting as high as basketball players even when jumping out of sand means that their vertical leap is substantially greater than that of any other athlete.
